February 16th – 20th
is National Engineer’s Week. Do
your part by promoting
Engineering in some way. Tell a
high school student about what
you do as an engineer. Send an
email to all in your address
book letting them know about
E-week. Come out and cheer the
students on at our annual
Popsicle Stick Bridge Contest on
Feb 19th at
Eastern
Guilford
High School.

Mario Barbu Presents Update of
ISO9000-2008
On
January 29th at
NCA&T
University,
Mario Barbu (ISO certified
auditor, Ch 082 Chair elect)
gave an interesting and
informative update of the
changes to the newest release of
the ISO9000 standard. Several
Chapter 082 members and guests
attended as well students from
NCA&T
University’s
Manufacturing Systems and Motor
Sports Departments and SME
Student Chapter S044. We thank
Mario for a bringing us up to
speed…great job, Mario!
